Our biggest event of the year, the Z-Wave Alliance Summit & Unplug Fest 2025 brought over 100 members together from across the globe for three days of hands-on testing, strategic discussions, and community connection. An Unforgettable Unplug Fest
Unplug Fest once again provided a unique opportunity for members to perform live interoperability testing, ensuring that new devices and firmware updates work seamlessly across the ecosystem. Innovation quite literally took flight with an unforgettable skydiving range test, setting a new benchmark for Z-Wave performance, connectivity, and reliability. The energy at this event reflected the Alliance’s open, cooperative spirit, with engineers from all corners of the ecosystem uniting to address real-world challenges together.

This year’s packed Summit agenda featured a dynamic mix of technical deep dives, strategic discussions, and collaborative workshops focused on the future of the Z-Wave ecosystem. Designed to serve the full Z-Wave community, joint sessions covered critical topics such as the future of Z-Wave, new market opportunities, and pressing regulatory updates. Members broke out into technical sessions for the latest advancements in Z-Wave Long Range, security and certification updates, and opportunities for Z-Wave across open-source and AI integration, or marketing tracks which showcased MDU adoption trends and explored messaging development and cross-industry collaboration efforts. Together, these sessions conveyed the Alliance’s commitment to innovation, interoperability, and the continued growth of Z-Wave across established and growing markets.
