John Osborne, Lexi Devices

John E. Osborne II is currently COO at Lexi Devices Inc., Vice Chairman of the Z-Wave Alliance and Chair Emeritus of The Zigbee Alliance. In these capacities he helps educate and grow the IoT market globally. Lexi is a total eco-system supporting all leading protocol standards.

John has extensive experience in new product development, rapid product commercialization, systems innovations, and operations improvement. He has demonstrated ability to manage and inspire multi-cultural, internal-external teams. He is a skilled communicator and presenter and has a sound background in budgeting, resource allocation and operations efficiency.

Kevin Kraus

Kevin Kraus was recently promoted to V.P. Technology Alliances and Partner Integration for Yale and August Residential Electronic Lock Business, prior to being promoted Kevin was Director of Technology and Partner Integration since 2018 and is responsible for defining key product technologies and developing partner integration strategies and tools to support seamless lock integration. Prior to becoming the Director of technology and partner integration, Kevin was Director of product development for Yale Residential Locks. Responsible for product strategy, product development, and technology.  Prior to joining ASSA ABLOY/Yale in 2009; Kevin spent 11 years as director of product management electronic locks for the Schlage Residential Business. Prior to Schlage Kevin spent 7 years with Honeywell’s Security Group as product manager for Honeywell Residential Security Products.  Kevin has extensive experience in the IOT, Residential Security, and Home Automation Business and is regarded as a subject matter expert in residential electronic locks, residential security and home automation systems and residential systems communication technologies. Kevin has majors in both Electrical Engineering and Business Administration. Kevin is also on the Z-Wave Alliance, CSA Alliance, and Thread Board of Directors. Currently Vice Chair of the CSA Alliance and Treasure of both the Thread Group and Z-Wave Alliance.

Avi Rosenthal, Bluesalve Partners

Avi Rosenthal

Avi Rosenthal has been in the connected device industry for over 20 years.  He is the currently the Managing Partner of bluesalve partners, a full-service consulting firm to the Consumer Products and Connected Device industries.  He has held numerous leadership roles within the IoT industry at Nortek, Legrand, Evolve and Superna among others. He currently serves on the board of the Z-Wave Alliance, and has served on many others, he has been a member of the CTA for more than 20 years. Through his deep connections with manufacturers, dealers, and retailers, he has the insights and resources needed to develop, market and manufacture products and services for the IoT Industry. He co-founded one of the largest Integration firms in the US.  He is the recipient of the prestigious CTA Mark of Excellence Leadership Award.

Executive Director

Mitchell Klein, Silicon Labs

Mitch Klein is Director, Alliances Strategy at Silicon Labs, where he leads numerous initiatives to drive and accelerate the global adoption of smart home and smart cities applications. An IoT leader with 30 years’ experience, Klein has dedicated his career to designing and implementing strategic programs that bring IoT technology deployments into the mainstream. In 2019, he was honored with the CEDIA Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes innovative and visionary leadership in the technology design and installation industry. As part of his role at Silicon Labs, Mitch continues his 2015 appointed role as Executive Director of the Z-Wave Alliance where he leads the organization’s strategy and growth.

Mitchell lives in the greater Boston area with his family.

Fun fact: Mitch is the bass player and band leader for The Interoperables, the Z-Wave Alliance rock band. He also plays for the CE Pro Band at industry events and is always seeking another opportunity to play.

Jake Alamat, Silicon Labs

Jake Alamat serves as Senior Vice President of Home and Life Business at Silicon Labs. In this role, Jake is responsible for the delivery of intelligent, wireless solutions central to IoT products widely used in daily life including smart lights, voice assistants, portable medical devices, HVAC controls, smart appliances, and more. With more than 20 years of industry experience at NXP and Texas Instruments, Jake has served in multiple leadership roles focused on embedded processing and analog semiconductor solutions. His career experience spans consumer, mobile, automotive, industrial and infrastructure end markets. Prior to joining Silicon Labs in September 2019, Jake served as Vice President and General Manager of Automotive Connectivity at NXP Semiconductors. Jake holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in computer engineering from Michigan State University.

Jennifer Doctor, Johnson Controls Inc.

Jennifer Doctor is the Senior Director of Product Management for Johnson Controls, Global Products’ Intrusion detection portfolio. In this capacity, Jennifer leads a global team managing more than 5,000 traditional and smart home security products around the globe in residential and commercial markets.

Jennifer joined Johnson Controls from ADT North America where she was the Director of Product Strategy. She brings a dozen years of experience in the security industry, and nearly 25 years of experience in product marketing and product management to Johnson Controls, having worked with companies to help them bring products to market profitably. In addition to her unique blend of product management, product marketing and marketing skills, Jennifer also brings IT skills and certifications to her portfolio including ITIL, CMMi, and is a certified Agile Leader and Certified SAFe 5 Product Owner/Product Manager.

Andrew Weir, ADT

Andrew is currently the Director of Engineering at ADT where he is responsible for the design, development and deployment of ADT’s residential security and smart home device ecosystem. Andrew has 32+ years of full life-cycle product design & development experience with several successful start-ups as well as large corporations such as AT&T, DirecTV and Cisco Systems. His focus in the last 18 years has been in multi-wireless IoT, security, smart home, real-time networked audio/video and communications. His areas of expertise include strategic product ideation, top-level system design, hardware design, and software/firmware development. Prior to that, Andrew was involved in all aspects of multimedia product development at Ensoniq and Creative Labs. He also spent some time developing telecom firmware at TeleSciences CO Systems, and he started his career at General Electric working on the SDI program.

Gustaf Lonaeus, Alarm.com

Gustaf Lonaeus oversees the development of Alarm.com’s products and solutions for energy management, home automation, and partner integrations. Gustaf has spent the last 10+ years at Alarm.com becoming an expert in product management, low power wireless networking, UI & UX development, and HVAC system control. Gustaf has a Magna Cum Laude Bachelor of Arts in Pysics and Mathematics from Colby College, and a Bachelor of Engineering with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering and Control Systems from Thayer Engineering School at Dartmouth.
