PRINCIPAL MEMBER
$85k / Annual dues
Plus one-time $30,000
Best for: Organizations that want to lead the strategic direction and governance of the Z-Wave ecosystem.
Principal Members are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors, vote on Alliance matters, chair Committees and Working Groups, certify Z-Wave products, and influence the future of the Z-Wave standard. Includes all benefits of lower membership levels.
CONTRIBUTOR MEMBER
$7.5k / Annual dues
Best for: OEMs and ODMs developing, manufacturing, branding, and certifying Z-Wave products.
Contributor Members can certify products, vote on Alliance matters, chair Working Groups, participate in executive committees, access and contribute to the Z-Wave Source Code Project, and use Z-Wave certification marks. Two Contributor Members are elected by the Board to serve one-year terms on the Board of Directors. Includes all benefits of lower membership levels.
ACCELERATOR MEMBER
Annual dues:
- Year 1: $2,500
- Year 2: $5,000
- Year 3: $7,500
- Year 4: $7,500
Best for: Startups and emerging companies bringing new Z-Wave products to market.
Accelerator Members receive a cost-effective pathway into the Z-Wave ecosystem with access to technical resources, marketing support, Working Groups, industry collaboration, and networking opportunities. Active participation in Alliance Working Groups is required to maintain discounted pricing.
In Year 4, or the first full year following product launch, membership transitions to the standard Contributor level.
AFFILIATE MEMBER
$2,500 / Annual Dues
Best for: Distributors, wholesalers, consultants, service providers, and organizations that support the Z-Wave ecosystem but do not commercialize Z-Wave products.
Affiliate Members can participate in Committees and Working Groups, collaborate with industry leaders, and stay informed on the latest technical and market developments. Voting rights are not included.
INDIVIDUAL MEMBER
$1,500 / Annual dues
Best for: Independent professionals who want to contribute to the advancement of the Z-Wave standard.
Individual Members can participate in Committees and Working Groups, contribute to the Z-Wave Source Code Project, and may serve as a Working Group Chair with Board approval. Voting rights are not included. Individuals whose employers are eligible for organizational membership are not eligible.
INSTALLER/RESELLER MEMBER
$200 / Annual dues
Best for: Professional installers and system integrators delivering Z-Wave solutions to customers.
Installer/Reseller Members gain access to Alliance Committees, Working Groups, technical resources, networking opportunities, and the latest developments across the Z-Wave ecosystem. Voting rights are not included.
INDIVIDUAL ACADEMIC MEMBER
$100 / Annual dues
Best for: Faculty and educators at accredited colleges, universities, and higher education institutions.
Academic Members can participate in the technical advancement of Z-Wave through access to the Z-Wave Source Code Project and collaboration with the Alliance community. Voting rights are not included.
