ISC West 2026 made one thing abundantly clear: the energy and momentum across the security industry is stronger than ever. Conversations were deeper, partnerships more strategic, and innovation more tangible than we have seen in years. This is no longer about proving what connected security can do. It is about delivering systems that scale, interoperate, and perform reliably in the environments that matter most.
With more than 30,000 professionals and hundreds of exhibitors converging in Las Vegas last week, ISC West attendance returning to pre-pandemic levels reinforced something important. This industry continues to value in-person collaboration because that is where real progress happens. Deals get done, partnerships form, and the industry moves forward.
From the Z-Wave Alliance perspective, the message was equally clear. Z-Wave is not emerging in security. It is established, trusted, and continuing to expand its role as deployments grow in size and complexity. That position is grounded in one thing above all else: security. Not just smart home convenience, but Z-Wave’s S2 security framework, certification rigor, and interoperability that service providers depend on every day.
Celebrating 15 Years of Z-Wave in Monitored Security
One of the most important moments of the week was our “Celebrating 15 Years of Z-Wave in Monitored Security” Happy Hour. This milestone speaks directly to why Z-Wave continues to lead in this space.
For 15 years, Z-Wave has been embedded in professionally monitored security systems. That is not accidental. Service providers require proven reliability, strong security, and consistent interoperability across a diverse ecosystem of devices. Z-Wave has delivered on those requirements at scale.
This milestone is not just about longevity. It reflects trust earned over time through millions of deployed devices and a consistent track record of secure, interoperable performance in real-world environments.
We were proud to celebrate this moment with our community, and we thank our sponsors for helping make it possible:
- Crystal Sponsor: Johnson Controls (JCI)
- Gold Sponsors: Kwikset, Seacomp, Trident IoT, and Yale
These companies, along with many others in the Alliance, have helped define what monitored security looks like today and where it is headed next.
Z-Wave Alliance Member Innovations Announced in Conjunction with ISC West
ISC West 2026 served as a strong platform for Z-Wave Alliance members to showcase new product innovations and strategic integrations through a series of press announcements. What stood out was not just the volume of activity, but the clear focus on delivering scalable, secure solutions for real-world security and property technology deployments.
Key member announcements included:
- Alfred and ELK Products: Announced a new integration with the ELK Products Alarm Engine platform. Built on the Z-Wave protocol, this integration enables security professionals to incorporate Alfred’s smart locks directly into ELK’s security and automation ecosystem, providing unified control of access and alarm systems.
- PointCentral: Introduced the industry’s first online multi-credential Z-Wave® Long Range smart lock fully integrated with perimeter access and remote property management systems. The solution is designed to extend coverage, reduce network complexity, and streamline operations for multifamily environments.
- Nice: Highlighted its 2GIG GC Touch wireless security panel, delivering improved usability through intuitive setup, simplified programming, and enhanced system performance. The platform continues to leverage Z-Wave for seamless integration across locks, lighting, thermostats, and other connected devices.
- Trident IoT: Announced a collaboration with Syntiant to combine Z-Wave Long Range connectivity with edge-based audio AI processing. The platform is designed to enable advanced audio event detection, including smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, emergency call recognition, and infant cry monitoring, supporting a wide range of safety, security, and wellness applications.
Ecosystem Strength Across the Show Floor
The broader Z-Wave ecosystem was equally strong, with member companies demonstrating how Z-Wave Long Range is enabling larger, more complex deployments, especially in multifamily and property technology markets.
Highlighted member innovations included:
- Ezlo: Introduced the Protect Security Platform alongside new Z-Wave Long Range devices designed for scalable professional installations.
- Fortune Brands / Yale: Demonstrated the first Master Lock commercial solution for multifamily using Z-Wave Long Range, bringing enterprise-grade access control into connected residential spaces.
- Kwikset: Continued to lead in integrated security solutions, focusing on seamless user experiences across locks, automation, and access control.
- Rently: Showcased the Rently Hub Pro, a thermostat hub tailored for rental and multifamily environments where centralized control is essential.
- XThings: Featured the Ultraloq Bolt Z-Wave fingerprint lock with Z-Wave Long Range, combining biometric access with extended wireless performance.

What Actually Mattered This Year
Several themes stood out across the show floor.
Interoperability is no longer optional.
Service providers and integrators expect devices to work together without friction. Z-Wave’s certification program and ecosystem discipline continue to set it apart.
Scale is now the baseline.
Multifamily and MDU deployments are redefining system requirements. Z-Wave Long Range is enabling these larger deployments without sacrificing reliability.
Intelligence is moving to the edge.
>AI-driven capabilities are expanding, but they only deliver value when paired with dependable, secure communication. That is where Z-Wave continues to play a critical role.
Security remains the foundation.
Z-Wave’s leadership in monitored security is rooted in its security architecture. S2 security, mandatory certification, and a controlled ecosystem are essential to maintaining trust as systems grow more connected and more complex.
Looking Ahead
ISC West 2026 was not about introducing the idea of connected security. This has been established for years. The focus now is on executing at scale, maintaining reliability, and preserving trust as systems become more capable.
Z-Wave is uniquely equipped for what comes next. Engineered from the ground up with security, interoperability, and real-world performance as non-negotiable fundamentals. Secure by design. Interoperability as a mandate, not an aspiration. Proven at scale in live deployments.
The industry is moving forward with clarity and purpose. Z-Wave’s role in that future is not theoretical. It is already established, and it continues to grow.
