Avi Rosenthal, Bluesalve Partners
Avi Rosenthal has been in the connected device industry for over 20 years. He is the currently the Managing Partner of bluesalve partners, a full-service consulting firm to the Consumer Products and Connected Device industries. He has held numerous leadership roles within the IoT industry at Nortek, Legrand, Evolve and Superna among others. He currently serves on the board of the Z-Wave Alliance, and has served on many others, he has been a member of the CTA for more than 20 years. Through his deep connections with manufacturers, dealers, and retailers, he has the insights and resources needed to develop, market and manufacture products and services for the IoT Industry. He co-founded one of the largest Integration firms in the US. He is the recipient of the prestigious CTA Mark of Excellence Leadership Award.

Gustaf Lonaeus, Alarm.com
As a Director of Product Management, Gustaf Lonaeus oversees development of Alarm.com’s products and solutions for energy management, home automation, and many of their cloud to cloud integrations. Gustaf has spent well over a decade at Alarm.com becoming an expert in product management, low power wireless networking, UI & UX development, and home automation hardware. Gustaf has a Magna Cum Laude Bachelor of Arts in Pysics and Mathematics from Colby College, and a Bachelor of Engineering with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering and Control Systems from Thayer Engineering School at Dartmouth.

Kevin Kraus, Fortune Brands
Kevin Kraus recently joined Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. as part of the Divestiture of Yale and August North America from ASSA ABLOY. Kevin is the V.P. Technology Alliances and IoT Business Development for Fortune Brands, prior to the Divestiture, Kevin was V.P. Technology Alliances and IoT Business Development for ASSA ABLOY Smart Residential Group. Prior to being promoted Kevin was Director of Technology and Partner Integration since 2018 and is responsible for defining key product technologies and developing partner integration strategies and tools to support seamless lock integration. Prior to becoming the Director of technology and partner integration, Kevin was Director of product development for Yale Residential Locks. Responsible for product strategy, product development, and technology. Prior to joining ASSA ABLOY/Yale in 2009; Kevin spent 11 years as director of product management electronic locks for the Schlage Residential Business. Prior to Schlage Kevin spent 7 years with Honeywell’s Security Group as product manager for Honeywell Residential Security Products. Kevin has extensive experience in the IOT, Residential Security, and Home Automation Business and is regarded as a subject matter expert in residential electronic locks, residential security and home automation systems and residential systems communication technologies. Kevin has majors in both Electrical Engineering and Business Administration. Kevin is also on the CSA Alliance, Z-Wave Alliance, and Thread Board of Directors. Kevin is currently Vice Chair of the CSA Alliance and Treasure of both the Thread Group and Z-Wave Alliance.

Bill Scheffler, Trident IoT
A true pioneer of smart home automation, Bill Scheffler was involved with X10, one of the first home automation protocols. He later joined the startup Zensys in 2001 and developed the Z-Wave wireless protocol for home automation. Scheffler’s experience and knowledge of the home automation industry, combined with his strong relationships with key players in the market, helped to establish Z-Wave as a leading wireless protocol for home automation in North America.
Bill’s personal hallmark is building a culture of trust across all the stakeholders in the ecosystem. New Jersey born and raised; he is a man of his word, has a strong sense of loyalty and finds it impossible to walk away from a challenge.

Jonathan Adams, Ring
Jonathan (Jon) Adams is a Principal Engineer at Amazon where he focuses on low power wireless devices and connectivity for the Ring and Blink product lines. Prior to joining Amazon, Jon has spent 15 years developing and supporting IoT solutions for consumer brands in the Energy, Residential Security, Lighting, Electronic Locks, Hospitality, and Home Automation spaces. Jon holds a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Drexel University, respectively.

Jake Alamat, Silicon Labs
Jake Alamat serves as Senior Vice President of Home and Life Business at Silicon Labs. In this role, Jake is responsible for the delivery of intelligent, wireless solutions central to IoT products widely used in daily life including smart lights, voice assistants, portable medical devices, HVAC controls, smart appliances, and more. With more than 20 years of industry experience at NXP and Texas Instruments, Jake has served in multiple leadership roles focused on embedded processing and analog semiconductor solutions. His career experience spans consumer, mobile, automotive, industrial and infrastructure end markets. Prior to joining Silicon Labs in September 2019, Jake served as Vice President and General Manager of Automotive Connectivity at NXP Semiconductors. Jake holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in computer engineering from Michigan State University.

Lisa Corte, Assa Abloy
Lisa Corte serves as the Vice President of Strategic Alliances at ASSA ABLOY Group. Lisa has 10 years of experience in the security industry, with a significant focus on product management of commercial access control offerings. Lisa started her career in defense contracting, doing control law development and project management for various fixed-wing aircrafts and unmanned ground vehicles. Lisa holds a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Binghamton University and an MBA from North Carolina State University.

Geoff Cummings, Johnson Controls Inc.
Geoff Cummings is currently a Sr. Product Manager for Commercial Intrusion at Johnson Controls, Inc. He is part of the global product team working on security panels, sensors, and integrations for hardware and services manufactured and distributed globally. Previously, Geoff worked in the Internet and MSO space focusing on physical security, commercial WI-FI, and hosted productivity applications.

Scott Laing, Vivint
Scott Laing is a Senior Director of Product at Vivint, where he leads a team responsible for sensors, display panels, and security hubs, alongside mobile and cloud infrastructure. His background is in wearable devices and software experiences that bring them to life. Previously, he led the product teams for MapMyRun and MyFitnessPal. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.

Paulus Schoutsen, Nabu Casa
Paulus Schoutsen is the founder of both Home Assistant and Nabu Casa, and is President of the Open Home Foundation. He began creating Home Assistant in 2013, a free and open source smart home platform that now automates over a million homes. He later founded Nabu Casa, a commercial entity that drives the development of Home Assistant. As President of the Open Home Foundation, he fights for the fundamental principles of privacy, choice, and sustainability for smart homes. The foundation now owns and governs Home Assistant, but also supports projects that further the Open Home mission. This includes Z-Wave JS, the most capable set of open source apps and libraries for Z-Wave. Originally from the Netherlands, he now lives in a very smart home with this family in Brooklyn, New York.

Andrew Weir, ADT
Andrew is currently the Director of Engineering at ADT where he is responsible for the design, development and deployment of ADT’s residential security and smart home device ecosystem. Andrew has 32+ years of full life-cycle product design & development experience with several successful start-ups as well as large corporations such as AT&T, DirecTV and Cisco Systems. His focus in the last 18 years has been in multi-wireless IoT, security, smart home, real-time networked audio/video and communications. His areas of expertise include strategic product ideation, top-level system design, hardware design, and software/firmware development. Prior to that, Andrew was involved in all aspects of multimedia product development at Ensoniq and Creative Labs. He also spent some time developing telecom firmware at TeleSciences CO Systems, and he started his career at General Electric working on the SDI program.
