Aeotec announces new best-in-class Z-Wave products crafted for European smart homes at ISE 2019

Having purchased Popp, Aeotec is using Amsterdam’s ISE to announce new best-in-class Z-Wave products crafted for European smart homes.

Amsterdam RAI, Europaplein 2-22, 1078 GZ Amsterdam, The Netherlands – February 5 to 8, 2019 – Booth #9-E150, located in the Smart Building hall:

Having already created the largest portfolio of quality, connected products that utilise the Z-Wave standard, Aeotec will utilise February’s Integrated Systems Europe to unveil multiple new smart devices crafted specifically European homes and buildings. The unveiling comes after Aeotec announced the completion of its acquisition of smart device maker Popp & Co., with its near-on 90 year electronics heritage, in January. The acquisition of Popp expands Aeotec’s smart home range to 86 Z-Wave devices with distribution in over 90 countries.

Aeotec’s new devices include;

Door / Window Sensor 7;a 3-in-1 sensor focussed on gathering data for use in security and automation scenarios. Z-Wave’s smallest 3-in-1 sensor, Door / Window Sensor 7 is Aeotec’s first German engineered device. It combines magnetic and dry contact sensors with Aeotec’s patented Spatial Intrusion Algorithm™ capable of detecting some break-ins before they happen. Door / Window Sensor 7 will be released in March.

Smart Boost Timer Switch; a press-timer switch uniquely developed for European  homes. Smart Boost Timer switch converts timed switches, particularly those attached to scheduled devices including hot water boilers, to Z-Wave based automation systems. Smart Boost Timer Switchwill be released in February.

Smart Switch 7; Aeotec’s latest smart plug with energy metering is the smallest Z-Wave plug available with 3rd party, European certifications. With the safety and security of smart devices increasingly becoming an issue for consumers, Aeotec has focussed its development on Smart Switch 7 on perfecting the balance between aesthetics and safety. Built upon 13 years’ experience of smart plug engineering, Smart Switch 7 is smaller than its predecessor and Z-Wave’s smallest plug to be fully certified by a top-tier EU certification house. Smart Switch 7 will ship in Q2 2019.

Aeotec will be displaying 24 of its full suite of current-generation Z-Wave devices at Booth #9-E150, the Z-Wave Alliance booth, during ISE. Further information on all devices is available from https://aeotec.com or via service@aeotec.com
